    Hey Charlie,

Thanks for being patient. I think it worth celebrating that your most recent thumbnails (76 onwards) are really beginning to spark with the fun and fashion of your collaborator; you're successfully managing to essentialise key forms, without merely repeating them or plumping for the too-literal. I also very much like the texture of these thumbnails - their illustrative qualities and I encourage you to ensure these qualities remain as you later move towards texturing. I think the illustrative element is important to keep, because fashion illustration tends to be more speculative and loose than the fashions they inspire; so take a look at these to encourage boldness and further exploration of this style:

When it comes to your overall style for your world (conveyed via texturing and matte-painting etc) I think you should consider the bold move of envisioning your world as a world born out of fashion illustration - so everything as that slightly sketchier, illustrative quality - I think it really help you capture Gaultier and that feeling of more speculative, more daring fashion.

So - yes, your thumbnails are very encouraging. I look forward to you now exploring some of those key elements in your travelogue using the techniques you're developing here.

  2. Thanks for the feedback and guidance, I love those fashion illustrations and will try to take that aspect forward with the rest of this project.
