So today we at random pulled out a character, object and location that we have to create a story about. The blue box gifted me:
- Door-to-door Salesman
- Skateboard
- Zoo
I'm actually really excited to get started on this project and to see what kind of story can be generated from this completely random attributes. The hard part will be connecting all the components, I will have to ask all the little questions like why is the skateboard important to the story, what purpose does the zoo have, why is the character a door-to-door salesman.
So for example, the door-to-door salesman could have confidence issues which means he never stood up for himself in the past, thus making him a push over which lead him to fail in his life. Or perhaps he finds joy in being around people so he choose a job which allowed him to go from door to door meeting new people. Once I can figure out the goal of the story, I will be able to develop these back stories and hopefully create an interesting story that will be engaging.
Good luck! : D
ReplyDeletejust so you know; the 'world' of your story could be a zoo, in which you've got an animal 'door-to-door' salesmen who is going from enclosure to enclosure... maybe trying to sell animals the one thing they don't have; door to door salesmen are often thought of as shifty (so maybe think about animals with shifty reputations)...?
ReplyDeleteGood approach to the project! I like what you have to start off with. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI think it's time for you to get out some more ideas! *nudge nudge*
ReplyDeleteWhat about a door to door salesman that sells a monkey to the zoo that is addicted to skateboarding and gets constantly into trouble, so the salesman has to come back and work with the monkey to clean up the mess he's made! :D
